IWC
The International Watch Company (IWC) was founded in 1868 by American watchmaker and engineer Ariosto Jones. By 1901, IWC had already grown to 190 employees, and from its inception, the company has been dedicated to producing high-quality timepieces. Among its most iconic creations is the Grande Complication, a masterpiece of horology featuring 659 mechanical components, including 71 rubies. It boasts 17 functions, 12 patents, a perpetual calendar accurate for the next 500 years, and a perpetual moon-phase display. In addition to the Grande Complication, other highly collectible IWC models include the IWC Portuguese, IWC Da Vinci, IWC Pilot’s Watches, IWC Portofino, IWC Aquatimer, and IWC Ingenieur. Despite facing two bankruptcies in its history, IWC has successfully bounced back and remains a leading name in the world of fine watchmaking.
