ZENITH Defy Ref. 04-0170-345 Day Date High Fequency NOS – 1970s

Here we have a super cool Zenith Defy Day Date! This beautiful WRISTCLASSIC comes in stunning NOS condition and the caseback is still sealed, which makes the overall condition really special. Dating back to the 1970s, it measures 38 mm without the crown and comes in a strong stainless steel case with the typical bold and slightly chunky Defy design. The dial is a gorgeous brushed lines mosaic dial with a beautiful texture and great vintage character. The applied Zenith logo, silver indexes and matching hands are very harmonious and well balanced. The day and date display gives the watch a practical touch while keeping the overall design clean and stylish. This WRISTCLASSIC is powered by the automatic Zenith calibre 34.6 AF movement. The service history is unknown. The leather strap is original and features a stainless steel Zenith buckle, which completes the package very nicely. Zenith

The watch manufacture Zenith was founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot. In 1911, the company name was changed to “Fabrique des Billodes.” One day, Georges Favre-Jacot finished a new movement and named it after the sky and the stars: Zenith. This is how the brand Zenith was born. In 1969, Zenith introduced the famous El Primero, one of the first automatic chronograph movements. To this day, the El Primero remains one of the most iconic movements in the watch world.
