OMEGA Constellation Electroquartz Ref. 196.005 f8192Hz Beta 21
This Omega Constellation Ref. 196.005 exemplifies the bold design and pioneering technology of the 1970s. The 38mm case, crisp and unpolished with sharp edges, carries a sense of solidity and vintage charm, perfectly complemented by the wide-set bezel that lends the watch an impressive wrist presence. The blue dial, absolutely pristine, harmonizes beautifully with the red Omega logo and matching red date wheel positioned at 6 o’clock—creating a symmetrical, eye-catching focal point. This *Wristclassic* is powered by the groundbreaking f8192Hz Beta 21 Electroquartz movement, an incredible feat of precision for its era, beating at an astonishing 8192 beats per second. This movement marked Omega’s foray into the high-accuracy quartz era, making this Constellation a significant piece of horological history. Paired with an original Omega stainless steel bracelet, this watch combines retro style with daily comfort, making it the perfect vintage timepiece for both enthusiasts and collectors.
OMEGA
Omega was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Louis Brandt. Out of this small watch manufacture grew a large company: In 1894, the famous 19-ligne pocket watch movement was developed and named “Omega”. Omega, as the final letter of the Greek alphabet, stands for the ultimate level in perfection and quality. In the 1930 the company entered into collaboration with the S.S.I.H. (Société Suisse pour l’Industrie Horlogère). Out of this collaboration the Swatch Group developed. Today, Omega is the flagship of this huge company. In 1932, Omega entered its partnership with the Olympics which continues till today. When in 1969 Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin accomplished the first moon landing there were equipped by Omega with the Speedmaster, and this so-called „Moonwatch“ is still regarded as one of the most significant watches in history.
