Here we have beautiful Jaeger-LeCoultre Snowdrop, a wonderful example of an cool watchdesign from the 1970s. The Memovox was introduced first in 1965. The Snowdrop is the last of the 8 Memovox references and produced between 1970 and 1972. Production is estimated at 2,000 pieces between the different configurations, which makes it a pretty rare timepiece. Its design is typical and offbeat from the 70s with its round 43mm monobloc case without lugs. This rare example comes with a crisp case in great vintage condition . It offers a fairly wide-set bezel that gives this watch a nice presence. The dial is allover in clean condition. The simple Jaeger-LeCoultre-logo alongside the the beautiful indexes and hands are harmonious and well balanced. The date is set at 3 o´clock. The crowns is original with the appropriate Jaeger-LeCoultre-logo. This WRISTCLASSIC is powered by automatic JLC 916 movement, running strong and keeping time well. The alarm function is working very well and sounds as it should. The watch comes with the original steel bracelet made by NSA fitting perfectly to this watch. This Jaeger-LeCoultre Snowdrop is a very rare timepiece with a lot of 70s-Style and in great condition. It’s a true WRISTCLASSIC with perfect proportions and timeless styling.
JAEGER-LECOULTRE
Jaeger LeCoultre is one of the most known and respected manufactures of watches. Founded in 1833 by the Brothers Charles-Antoine and François-Ulysse LeCoultre in Vallée de Joux, Switzerland, Jaeger-LeCoultre had a huge input on the history of watchmaking. Starting with the famous “douplan”-movement to the “Reverso” up to the great complications and endless calendars Jaeger-LeCoultre left its mark in all the different sections of the watchmaking-history. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox, with its revolutionary alarm function, was first introduced in 1949 and evolved over the next few decades.
