ENICAR Memostar Alarm Watch 1970s Ref. 298-01-01
The Enicar Memostar is indeed a rare gem from the 1970s, showcasing the ingenuity and unique design of this independent watch manufacturer. This vintage WRISTCLASSIC, with its unusual alarm feature, stands out not only for its functionality but also for its exceptional aesthetics. With a sizeable 40 mm case, it exudes a strong presence, further emphasized by the wide bezel and two-tone dial composition. The dial, in pristine condition with original lume, is both functional and beautifully balanced. The inner circle dedicated to setting the alarm adds a touch of complexity to the otherwise clean dial. Paired with silver indexes and striking blue hands, it’s a harmonious, well-thought-out design. The Enicar logo adds an understated elegance, while the fast-set pusher for the date, situated between the two crowns, adds practicality. One crown is used for standard time adjustments, while the other manages the alarm setting, a clever and efficient design feature. Powered by the reliable Lemania 2980 movement, this Memostar not only keeps time well but also offers the nostalgia and charm of a true vintage alarm watch. Paired with an unworn handcrafted leather strap, this Enicar Memostar is ready to make an impression. It’s a WRISTCLASSIC in every sense—perfectly proportioned, stylistically timeless, and unmistakably vintage.
