In the watch world a full set is defined as the watch, the box and the original sale papers. Now what do you call this set here? It is not only including the watch, the box and the papers it also contains the original handwritten Chronometer certificate from 1960 from the watchmaker who was assembliung the watch as first. This is a rare and beautiful example of an Omega Constellation was sold 2 years later in 1962. It features a 18k solid gold case in nice vintage condition surrounding the outstanding white dial. The dial is in mint condition. The simple Omega-logo alongside the silver indexes and beautiful hands are harmonious and well balanced. The crown is original with the appropriate Omega-logo. The watch comes with an original Omega 18k solid gold bracelet, completing this rare timepiece. The legendary red Omega box is in light used condition. This WRISTCLASSIC is an iconic example of the art of watch manufacturing by Omega. It presents timeless styling, perfect proportions and comes as a full set with box and original papers dating back to 30th of July 1962. This timepiece is as complete as it gets and almost impossible to find again in this set and status.
Omega
Omega was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Louis Brandt. Out of this small watch manufacture grew a large company: In 1894, the famous 19-ligne pocket watch movement was developed and named ‘Omega’. Omega, as the final letter of the Greek alphabet, stands for the ultimate step in perfection and quality. In the 1930 the company entered into a collaboration with the S.S.I.H. (Société Suisse pour l’Industrie Horlogère). Out of this collaboration the Swatch Group developed. Today, Omega is the flagship of this prestigious and huge company.
